Why Start a Concierge Company?
This is a great question and answering it provides me with a good opportunity to provide some history and context. I am also the owner of Van in Black which is a luxury transportation service located in the area. Van in Black was started in 2018 and has grown to be one of the highest rated transportation providers in the region. Van in Black is a local provider to the Tryon area and provides a lot of transportation services to people who are visiting the area; many of whom are working or competing at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. With this type of a service you get to meet and talk to a lot of different people and you hear things. It is amazing what you can learn by just listening. A continuous theme that I heard from people that I spoke with is that the area lacked some of the services that people were looking for. Most of the people that were visiting were here to work and/or compete at the equestrian center. Any services that they needed, that they couldn’t find, was a major distraction or problem when they were here to work. While it is true that this region is very rural and services are somewhat limited, I felt that what these people needed most of all was a local resource to help with needs by either connecting them to the correct resource or completely managing it for them. From this observation, Tryon Concierge was born. We exist to help people in this area focus on what matters most to them by doing everything else. Our pitch phrase captures everything perfectly – “You Do You, We’ll Do Everything Else!“

We have started out with a basic set of services that we feel will be beneficial to most people but the most important service or offering that we have is that we are here to help.
